Hi, I'm Nate Boutte, pharmacist at Walgreens.

What is an at-home COVID 19 test? Even though we're administering COVID-19 vaccines to more people than ever before, it's still important to be tested in order to stop the spread, travel safely and have some peace of mind.

That's why Walgreens is excited to announce that our at-home, FDA-authorized self-test kits are available for in-store pickup or at-home delivery. These portable, ultra convenient kits are available for anyone aged 2 and up who need a test, and no prescription or appointment is necessary. The best part, you can do it all from the comfort of your home. There are two types of kits available for at-home testing: rapid antigen tests and PCR tests. The antigen test is primarily used regardless of if you have symptoms or not and want to know if you have COVID-19. After you administer the swab, results are ready in 15 minutes on the applicator.

PCR tests use a nasal swab or saliva sample. You'll collect your sample and send it off in the included shipping envelope. Those results are ready in 24 to 48 hours after the lab receives your sample. Some PCR nasal swab tests qualify for travel documentation, but make sure to check and follow your destination's testing requirements. They may require specific types of tests.

Visit your local Walgreens, go to walgreens.com, or use the Walgreens app to order your self-administered COVID-19 tests today.
